A letter from our Executive Director: After working at Ragtag Film Society for over a year, I continue to be amazed by our organization’s vibrant ecosystem. There is no simple elevator pitch for Ragtag Cinema and True/False Film Fest, nor a single box that defines our ever-growing audience.

At this time of year, we reflect on everything we’ve accomplished together. Attached is our fiscal year 2026 annual report, highlighting the impact of our programming in Columbia and the documentary film industry, as well as a summary of our financial health—a testament to what thoughtful curation and generous supporters like you can achieve.

Thank you for being part of this community! Whether by attending screenings, renewing your membership, or bringing friends and loved ones, your participation and donations allow us the honor of serving you.

We will continue listening and evolving to keep our programs meaningful. Attracting more people to experience the transformative power of film, music, and art is exactly what we are working toward. Thanks to Veterans United Foundation, Boone County Community Trust, and YOU, a new laser projection system will bring brighter, richer images to Ragtag’s Big Theater this fall!
