True/False Buskers are such an important part of the festival experience that some have called T/F a music fest disguised as a film fest. Musicians play sets before film showings, dazzle music lovers at showcases, entertain at parties and events, march in our parade, and busk on the street (or in a park). Music is an essential part of the fabric and energy of True/False, and by weekend’s end these artists become a part of the T/F family.
This year, the Fest is by necessity going to look a bit different, with more components happening outdoors. There is still much to reimagine, but we can’t imagine doing it without musicians – the festival’s heartbeat. We are looking for musicians and bands from all genres to help us create a truly unique festival experience.
The call for True/False musicians is open from November 10 through January 30. For submissions received by Nov 30, the fee is $15; Dec 1 or later, the fee is $25. All artists will be notified about their application by early March.
