Every classic picture needs an equally strong soundtrack. Similarly, music is an essential part of the fabric and energy of True/False—such an important part of the festival experience, in fact, that some have called T/F a music fest disguised as a film fest. Artists can be found embedded in all aspects of the festival footprint, from film screenings to showcases, afterparties to the March March and beyond. 

The True/False Music team seeks musicians to help us create a truly unique festival experience in 2025. While we are particularly keen on acts that have the ability to modify their setups to fit into smaller, unorthodox performance spaces, musicians and bands of all sizes, genres and disciplines are encouraged to apply.

True/False invites artists from all over the globe to take part in our festival. However, we particularly encourage musicians from the Midwest and the surrounding region to submit their work for consideration.
