SPONSORSHIP DIRECTOR – RAGTAG FILM SOCIETY

Ragtag Film Society is seeking a motivated, strategic salesperson with a passion for our mission. Their primary objective is to develop and implement an overall strategy for sponsorship and corporate philanthropy income and support staff across both projects in their execution of annual mission-driven priorities. The sponsorship director is responsible for pitching and managing both in-kind and cash sponsorships. This role reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with multiple leaders across the organization.

Duties Include:
  • Lead the creation and execution of sponsorship strategies to align with RFS’s mission and financial goals
  • Pitch, cultivate, and manage sponsor and corporate support (both cash and in-kind)
  • Research corporate philanthropic funding opportunities
  • Oversee seasonal sponsorship team
  • Manage departmental budget
  • Ensure delivery of sponsor benefits across all platforms and events 
  • Update and maintain sponsorship sales materials annually
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Director to deliver sponsorship assets
  • Communicate regularly with the Cinema Director and Grant Writer to ensure sponsorships and contributions across projects are on track. 
  • Work with the Executive Director in tracking goals for contributed income and in the cultivation of major donors connected to new sponsorship opportunities.
  • Represent RFS at networking and community events
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and traits:
  • 3–5 years of high-level sales or fundraising experience
  • A proactive, mission-driven approach and ability to thrive in a creative, entrepreneurial culture
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with national industry trends and local business networks
  • Experience with not-for-profit organizations
  • Budget and project management experience. 
  • Proficiency with tools such as GSuite, Zoom, Slack, and Airtable
  • Self-motivated and mission-driven mindset
Compensation & Culture: This role is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a nonprofit in Columbia, Missouri. The salary will be commensurate with experience, in the range of $45,000-$49,000 annually. We offer a results-oriented work environment, schedule flexibility, paid time off, and a collaborative culture. The ideal candidate should reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Columbia, Missouri year-round and is available to start by August 30, 2025.
