RFS ANNOUNCES HEALTH POLICY FOR RAGTAG CINEMA AND TRUE/FALSE FILM FEST

Ragtag Film Society follows guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) when determining health precautions. Health precautions are re-evaluated regularly to adapt to the local transmission rates of COVID-19.

Due to the current high transmission rate, masks are required regardless of vaccination status for all staff and patrons while at the Ragtag Cinema box office and inside of both theaters. Audience members and visitors will not be permitted entry without a mask. Food and drink will still be allowed inside the theaters, and masks should only be lowered when drinking or eating and then promptly replaced.

As of Friday, September 10, Ragtag Cinema will require all staff and patrons be vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide printed proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of attendance. Proof of vaccination may be presented with a CDC Vaccination Card (or a photo of said card)—a photo ID is also required.

By visiting Ragtag, patrons agree to abide by these policies.

  • Patrons who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (at least two weeks after final dose) will be required to provide proof of vaccination—either the original or printed copy of vaccination card or a clear digital (e.g. photo) copy.
  • Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated* patrons will be required to take a COVID-19 test within 72 hours before entry to the cinema and provide printed proof of a negative result prior to entering the venue. At-home COVID test results will only be accepted if you are able to print your results from a medical platform. You must bring a print-out of your results; digital proof will not be accepted.
  • Unvaccinated patrons with a valid medical exemption, including children under the age of 12, will be required to take a COVID-19 test within 72 hours before entry to the cinema, and to provide printed proof of negative result prior to entering the cinema. At-home COVID test results will only be accepted if you are able to print your results from a medical platform. You must bring a print-out of your results; digital proof will not be accepted.

During Ragtag Film Society outdoor events, the same COVID vaccination requirements will be in place; however, for outdoor events masks are optional. We encourage patrons to mask to their comfort level when outside.

For special events held indoors at venues other than Ragtag Cinema, Ragtag’s health policies outlined above will be in place and masks will be required.

For True/False Film Fest (March 3-6, 2022), the same COVID vaccination policies outlined above are expected to be in place, and more detail, including masking requirements, will be determined and announced closer to the event.

*For two-dose vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), you’re considered “partially vaccinated” if you’ve received just one dose or if two weeks haven’t yet passed since your second dose. For a one-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson (J&J)/Janssen), you’re considered “partially vaccinated” if two weeks haven’t yet passed since you got your shot.
