 Police officer Gigi saunters around, patrolling his sleepy Italian village. Director Alessandro Comodin (director of T/F 2012’s Summer of Giacomo) follows his uncle Gigi while he drives around the quiet sunny countryside and interacts with the community. When tragedy strikes the town, not once but twice, Gigi sets off to investigate. Through comedic (and often failed) attempts to piece together nonexistent evidence, Gigi stakes out potential suspects. From flirtations over the dispatch radio, and neighbor conflicts over trimming trees, to touching conversations with community members in crisis, Gigi la Legge is a vibrantly shot and formally fluid film with a lighthearted sense of humor.
