True Life Run

A new, bright-and-early tradition at T/F, the True Life Run challenges all runners and walkers to start Saturday, March 3 with a mad dash through the streets of downtown Columbia. The 5k run/walk will start at 8:00 am in Flat Branch Park and take in the landmarks of our fair city, offering a handful of eclectic adventures along the way. In addition to some interesting prizes from local businesses, we'll also be offering one Lux pass to next year’s True/False (2013) to the male and female winners. Our game masters are still ironing out the details, but winners will be determined by a combination of course time, craziness, and successful participation in hair-brained challenges along the way.

The entry fee of $30 includes the run, official T-shirt, and a quick breakfast at the end. A portion of the proceeds from the Run will be donated to T/F's philanthropic effort, the True Life Fund.

The timed option for the True Life Run will not be offered in 2012.

Participating in the run also qualifies you for a special $5 ticket price at a screening of this year's True Life Fund film, Bully, a moving film about the urgent societal problem of bullying, directed by Lee Hirsch. Simply take your race bib to either the box office or the venue where the film is playing, and you'll be admitted for $5 (vs. $8 at the box office or $10 at the venue). If you go to the venue, please join the Q for admission. Admission is based on a space available basis, so get there early. (The Q opens one hour before the screening; $5 tickets from the box office will not be available until after the run.) Bully plays: Saturday, March 3 @ 3:30PM / Jesse and Sunday, March 4 @ 3:00PM / Missouri Theatre.
